I am always on the lookout for ways to build my skills as a leader. I saw our local Northwestern College advertising a program called, Leaders are Readers and I ran to sign up! What more could you ask for?

We finished our first title today, Act Like a Leader, Think Like a Leader by Herminia Ibarra. This book was exactly what I had hoped we would be reading. It challenges your thought processes, encourages you to think in new and different ways, and gives you thought-provoking ways to strengthen you as a person and a leader. This isn’t your typical leadership book – it had all new ideas like “outsight” and the reason for a strong network. This book is just full of ways to make a great impact in your role as a leader and even challenges you to think through your role and see how it fits with your leadership goals. I would highly recommend it and yes, we have it at the library.
